Gonna quit the stick again. I managed to stop chain smoking and became a social smoker for two years but relapsed again into chaining again early this year. I'm stopping cos I've lost my stamina since I slowed down on training, I'm just 23 and scientifically, cells are still developing and that once I stop, the lung will automatically heal itself so theoretically, after 10 years or so, my lungs will return to its original healthy state. I gotta admit that I got addicted to the nicotine stick. But its not the nicotine that kills... its the 20mg of tar that comes with every stick. So in a kinda fucked up way, it's the tobacco company's way of killing people softly. Anyway, exams are coming pretty soon and I was supposed to quit after the exams to prevent the withdrawal effects. I have sinus and generally, I will get pretty sick when I do actually stop smoking. However I was really looking forward to quitting and I made the decision after one sleepless night to quit. It is abrupt and I have no idea what will happen to me but I am prepared to do whatever to get back my healthy life and reach my training goals by my birthday in September. Hope Nicorette works in cutting my nicotine cravings.
On the lighter note, I'm saving up to setup my own gym set at home so I can skip the need to go to the gym to train...
:D
